Docherty RoseDOCHERTY, Rose  - Suddenly, on Tuesday, July 24, after a year-long battle with lung cancer, at Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 80.

Beloved wife of 60 years to Harry, recently achieving their Diamond Wedding Anniversary on July 17th, and proud and loving mother to Lynn (deceased 1994) and Karen.

Rose is fondly remembered by her large extended family and many friends in Canada, the U.K. and elsewhere.

Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Rose had made Canada her home for over 45 years and was an active member of The Irish Club of Mississauga, especially when line dancing, darts, or a sing-song were involved.

Her generous baking and knitting talents will also be greatly missed by many.

Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, Mississauga on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. A private cremation ceremony will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. Asha Gupta and the entire team for their dedicated and compassionate care throughout.

For those who wish, donations made in Rose's honour to Ian Anderson House or the Palliative Care Unit at Credit Valley Hospital would be appreciated.
