It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Heather McCaw on April 24, 2026, at the age of 73. Kathi is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Bill Turnbull, and her daughters, Erika (Tyler) Key and Colleen (Ross) Weatherdon. She will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Liam, Lucas, Kaleb, Shayla, Rhys, Claire, Brynn, Paige, and Myles. She was a dear sister to Michelle and Steve. Kathi was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Joan (née Heather) McCaw, and her brother, Kim.
Kathleen Heather McCaw was an extraordinary woman whose strength and passion for life touched everyone who knew her. An avid traveller, she embraced every opportunity for adventure—whether relocating to foreign countries, exploring new places with her family, or sharing memorable journeys with her “Sisters of the Castor Bean.”
Creative and talented, Kathi was involved in many pursuits and communities. She found joy in book club, knitting, bridge, quilting, Spanish, dance, yoga and so much more. While she was always happy to play any card game, bridge was a true happy place for her.
To be in Kathi’s presence was to feel truly loved. She was always there with thoughtful advice, a listening ear, and a comforting hug. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
“The real secret to a fabulous life is to live imperfectly with great delight.”
