With profound sadness, the children of Eunice Turcotte announce her passing. With grace, our mother died peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, on March 17, 2026 at the age of 81 years.
Mom was well known for her caring nature, love of music, and great sense of humour. She had a deep passion for music and was a wonderful piano player. She brought great joy to the residents and staff, sharing her talent with warmth and heartfelt expression.
Eunice Doris Turcotte was 1 of 6 children born to the late James Turcotte and Mary Turcotte-Morais. Mom was the beloved mother of 9 children with her former husband the late James McCann.
Mother of Stephanie Tate (Ken) of Calgary, Jennifer Lepine (Willie) of Pembroke, Heather Neville (Shane) of Niagara Falls, James McCann of Ottawa, Mary Ellen McCann of Edmonton, Matthew (Lilian) of Edmonton, Theresa McCann of Calgary, Justin (Vanessa) of Calgary, Anne Marie Muldoon (Brendan) of Calgary, and survived by her sister Sharon Turcotte of Calgary. Mom was the grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She’s also predeceased by siblings Zita Geggie, Neil Turcotte, Joyce Lamarche and Rene Turcotte.
The family extends our heartfelt thanks to the staff on 3A at Miramichi Lodge for their care and compassion over the years.
