BRANCACCIO, Salvatore Brancaccio   – Has played his last musical note, at the age of 94, on August 11, 2021, and is now at peace. 

He was predeceased by his wife Marion (Cooper). 

They were active members, of Fairlawn Avenue United Church. He was a familiar face at the Columbus Center where he played his beloved mandolin every Friday for over 30 years. 

Salvatore was born in Baselice Benevento, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1951.

He worked at Ford Motor Company in Windsor and Oakville. 

He played in big bands in Toronto in the 1950s.

 

He embarked on an athletic quest, starting to race-walk in his 70s! He was recognized for his achievements with letters of congratulations from The Ontario Premier and also won a National Achievement award and holds the outdoor speed-walking record for men aged 70-74. 

Salvatore was a cheerful man with a positive outlook on life.

He was blessed to have many friends.

Memorial Service was held on August 19, 2021.

We are thankful that Salvatore is now at peace.
