He of Hanover, passed away surrounded by his sons at Brightshores Health Services in Owen Sound on Friday, March 27, 2026, just 2 days before his 87th birthday.
Robert James McGlashan was born in Chatham, England on March 29, 1939 to the late James Henry Stuart and Mabel (nee Pankhurst) McGlashan. Robert was an Electrician for Ontario Hydro. He especially loved being on the lake surrounded by his amazing neighbors and friends.
Survived by sons Robert McGlashan (Joanne Martin) of Belleville and Mark (Ana) McGlashan of Bowmanville. Loved by Violet, Emmett and Oliver. Remembered by his sister Josephine Milne as well as nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy (nee Robson), his grandson Austin and sisters Pauline (Wyndham) Powell, Joan Wootton and brother Allan (Joan) Wootton.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 11-11:45am where a Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm. Lyndsay McGregor officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family inurnment at a later date.
