It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Glenn Williams of Aamjiwnaang First Nation on March 27, 2026. He is survived by his daughter Nikki (Chris) Bressette, his grandchildren Celsie (Nick), Mikeesha, Keely (Cody), Keegan, Zack, Tiffany, Asia (Aaran), Andrew, Kyle, Romeo, Farah, and his great-granddaughter Brynnlee. He will also be sadly missed by his adoptive daughters Lisa and Robin, and his godchildren. Glenn is survived by his sisters Brenda and Tina, and brothers Terry, Rusty and Ryan. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Anna, siblings Tom Jr, Florence, Betty, Gary, Jimmy and Patrick, and grandsons Shamos and Dustin. Glenn was loved by many extended family and friends and will be missed by all his nieces and nephews who fondly called him Geep. Glenn worked many years for the Operators Union as a Heavy Machine Operator and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills with his grandchildren. He especially loved spending time with family and always had time for sleepovers, trips to McDonald’s and anything else the grandkids wanted. Glenn loved a good feast and the time spent around the table joking and telling stories of the past. His favorite things were a cold Pepsi, a smoke and a good movie. Thank you to all of the doctors and nurses at Victoria Hospital. Special thanks to E’Mino Bmaad-Zijig Gamig Home and Community Care staff and his niece Alex for lifting his spirits and providing exceptional care to him. A funeral service will be held at Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre, 1972 Virgil Ave, Sarnia, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held prior from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. A sacred fire has been lit and can be visited to share stories of Glenn at his home at 1624 Scott Rd. Memorial donations can be sent to the Aamjiwnaang Food Bank in his name (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
