Passed away peacefully at Innisfree Hospice on March 6, 2026, at the age of 68. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Kurt, dear mother of Paul (Tina) and loving grandmother of Kaleb. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Florence Kocher (nee Biesinger), her sisters Beatrice Weber (Fred) and Dorothy Vandrick, and her brother Joe Kocher. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Paul (Tina), grandson Kaleb, her brothers-in-law Jim Vandrick and Bill Kurt, her sister-in-law Mary Jean (Kurty) Jackson (Jim), and her extended family and dear friends.
Marilyn Kurt was a long-time employee of Bank of Montreal. After retirement she enjoyed spending time on the deck at her cottage overlooking Georgian Bay. She will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength and love of family.
The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Rachael Halligan and the doctors and staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Home and Community Care, ParaMed and Innisfree Hospice for their compassion and care.
Cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made in Marilyn’s memory.
