It’s with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Michael Robert Roy Anderson at the age of 47. Michael passed away unexpectedly at the Thunder Bay Hospital on March 16th, 2026.
Michael is the son of Wayne Anderson (predeceased) and Pamela Weist (Rick). Michael will be deeply missed by his best friend and mother of his children Angel Anderson. Michael leaves behind his loving children Isaac Burton, Landon and Vada Anderson. Partner of Kary-Ann Boyd and family and his furry friend Chino. Michael was the loving brother of Jeff (wife Kayla) Anderson and Jamie (husband Jeff Lavigne) both of Sudbury. Michael will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Michael loved to laugh. He always made light of every situation. He could lift you up even in the darkest of moments. Michael loved his music and loved making his children listen to a new song even when it was terrible. He loved spending time with his friends, but his greatest times were spent with his family and children. Michael was the strength his family needed, and his courage will continue to live on through his children. Michael truly was a hard worker. Michael was an undergrounder miner (Maclean Bolter) for over 15 successful years. He loved going underground to make a difference. The mining community will always miss him. Michael will be remembered for his sense of humor, his gentleness and his ability to bring laughter to our world. Michael’s memory will forever be cherished by his family. Michael was truly a family man.
May God bless the broken road.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you for everyone’s kind words and generosity.
