Betty Jean Ryersee

Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 11, 2026, at 84 years of age. Beloved wife of Earl Ryersee. Loving mother of Ken (Betty), Troy, and Crystal. Treasured grandmother of Andrew, Steven, Tyler, Jessica, Avery, and Kylia (Alexander), and proud great-grandmother of Abigail. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Albert, Kay (John), Milton (Iris), and Della (Stan). Betty will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Betty was born in Coatsworth, Ontario, and lived a life grounded in faith, family, and simple joys. She had a strong and unwavering belief in Jesus and remained a dedicated believer throughout her life. She was a current attendee of Kingsville Community Church and previously attended and volunteered for many years at Kamloops Alliance Church, where she faithfully helped fold church bulletins. Betty worked at Point Pelee National Park, where she thoroughly enjoyed her time and took pride in her work. She enjoyed many hobbies that kept her mind active and her home warm and welcoming. Betty loved reading books, especially her Bible, completing word searches and puzzles, and playing Yahtzee and board games with family. She also enjoyed baking, listening to music, and watching her favorite sports teams. Betty was a loyal fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and the Detroit Tigers. In her quieter moments, she loved watching her favourite television shows. She especially enjoyed watching the Olympics and was grateful to have had the opportunity to watch the 2026 Games. Betty was also very invested in following the Royal Family. Above all, Betty cherished time with her family. Her love, faith, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew her.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place at the Kingsville Community Church 1860 Division Rd, Kingsville, N9Y 2Z1 on Wednesday March 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Betty’s funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian Bible Society.
