Janet Ann Allen

December 30, 1944 – December 26, 2025

Lg 7 1 2

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Janet Ann (Miller) Allen, on December 26, 2025, at the age of 80, after battling congestive heart failure.  Mom was known to all as Ann. Born on December 30, 1944, in Toronto, Ontario, to her loving parents, William (Bill) Miller Sr. and Gertrude Miller, Ann lived a vibrant and happy life, finding joy spending time entertaining family and friends and exploring her passion for making pottery.

A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Ann took great pride in her family and in sharing her pride with others.  She is survived by her 3 daughters Carolin Shea-Broadbridge, and her son-in-law, Drew Broadbridge, Patricia Shea-McIntosh and Dorothy Shea, and her 4 grandchildren, Brent McIntosh, Lily McIntosh, Abbas Shea and Ani Shea.

Ann’s greatest gift was her positivity and her open and welcoming heart.  She was grateful for the many dear friends she made throughout her life, including those she made as a member of the Mississauga Potters Guild and as the President of her condominium board.

She was supportive, kind, witty, and energetic, and we will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to FUSION: THE ONTARIO CLAY AND GLASS ASSOCIATION (https://www.clayandglass.on.ca/donate), a favourite organization of Ann’s, or to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Please make donations in memory of Ann Allen.
