A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Arsenio was born on December 14, 1935, in San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines. He attended San Miguel Elementary School and later San Miguel High School, where he was known as a gifted orator. Though he dreamed of becoming a lawyer, his path led him to Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU), where he studied Geodetic Engineering. He went on to build a successful career in private practice as a surveyor, working tirelessly to provide for his family.
On June 14, 1960, Arsenio married the love of his life, Miguela. Their love was steadfast, pure, and enduring, and their marriage flourished for 65 beautiful years. Together, they raised six children, building a home filled with warmth, humor, and unconditional support.
Their children are:
• Marlene , married to Jaime
• Patty, who passed away in 2001
• Irene, married to Paul
• Michael, married to Sarah
• Jocelyn, married to Omer
• Charmaine, married to JayR
Arsenio was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
In his younger years, Arsenio enjoyed playing tennis, and throughout his life he loved watching boxing and playing mahjong for fun. His favorite colors were yellow and brown, proudly displayed on his jeep, which was painted yellow with brown stripes—an unmistakable reflection of his personality.
Arsenio had many friends and was a favorite among them, including those who were prominent in their fields. He was always the life of the party, known for his constant jokes, easy laughter, and infectious joy. He truly loved life and knew how to enjoy it fully.
A hardworking provider, Arsenio would do anything and give everything for the people he loved. He was welcoming, accommodating, and deeply loved not only by his children but also by their friends, and everyone who knew him, who fondly called him “Tatay.”
Nothing seemed to bother or offend him, and his laughter had a way of putting everyone at ease.
Proud and stubbornly independent, Arsenio lived life on his own terms—with dignity, humor, and heart.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, joy, and devotion that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
