Melissa Katherine Lawrence

May 29, 1987 – January 29, 2026

Happy couple embracing at outdoor wedding ceremony.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Melissa Katherine Lawrence on January 29,2026 at the age of 38. Melissa was born at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and peacefully passed at the same hospital. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Cliff her parents Mark and Kathy, her brothers Mathew (Kim) and Mark (Jessica) her brother in law Bobby (Valerie) her Nana Miki and her fur baby Skye. All her aunts and uncles and many cousins will miss her dearly.

Melissa has struggled with health issues for the past few years and is now at peace and no longer struggling.

She will now be watching over her new niece and nephew that will be arriving soon! She would have been an awesome auntie!

Melissa had a heart bigger than life and would have done anything for anyone.

This year she set some goals to help finish the basement including a craft room for her! Her and Cliff had plans to move to the country and start an animal rescue. She had so much love and compassion for animals.
OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME

As per her wishes there will be no funeral. We will have a celebration of life late in the spring. In lieu of flowers if you wish to make a donation in her memory she followed many dog rescues including Snowflake Meadows in Minden, Bernese Rescue and Team Chelsea of Durham Region ( or your choice of local rescue)

We are very thankful to the dedicated staff in ICU at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville and Oshawa their care was outstanding.

Rest in peace Melissa

We love you to the moon and back!

Come To Me

God saw you were getting tired.

And a cure was not to be.

So he put his arms around you.

And whispered “Come to me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you.

And saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly.

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating.

Hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us.

He only takes the best.
