Peacefully at Heritage House Retirement Living, Simcoe, Ontario on Friday January 2, 2026, Bob Rachar passed away at the age of 84 years. Fun loving father to Suzie Hake, Terry Rachar and Leslie Rachar. Grandfather to Alisha McBride (John), Ashley Hake, Christopher Hake, Steffany Cooper and Travis Cooper. Great Grandfather to Sadie, Mackensie, Nathan, Savannah, Charlotte and Leah. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elwood and Ila, siblings Marilyn Fitch, Wes Rachar and Shirley Simmons.
Bob was a man of the road, spending his life as a dedicated truck driver for tobacco kiln companies. Back in the day he enjoyed “refreshments” with a friendly game of pool. His later career was the mall cop at the Tillsonburg Town Center
Family and friends will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg on Wednesday January 7, 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Cremation will take place after the visitation time on Wednesday.
