It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Liliana Macchione, who passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 77.
Born on May 8, 1949, in Altilia, Cosenza, Italy, Liliana carried with her a deep love for her family, her heritage, and the values of kindness, strength, and generosity throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister whose warmth and unwavering dedication touched everyone who knew her.
Liliana was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giuseppe Macchione, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and commitment.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Filomena, Antonio, and Vittorio (Paola). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to John (Alex), Joey (Brianna), Joseph (Julia), Stephania, Mia, Julia (Anthony), Olivia (Calogero), and Marco, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Liliana also leaves behind her dear brothers and sisters, along with many extended family members and friends in Canada and Italy, who will forever cherish her memory and the many moments they shared with her.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her resilience, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. Her legacy lives on through her family, whose lives were enriched by her guidance, compassion, and unconditional love.
Though deeply missed, Liliana’s memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
