It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Scott Jacobs on Friday December 12th, 2025 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, at the age of 50.

Jay is the loving husband of Alison Jacobs (née Deitch) and dedicated father to Jasper and Anderson Jacobs.

Forever loved and deeply missed by his sister Marni & her husband Mike Amos, his brother in-law Jeremy Deitch, nieces and nephew, Paetra Deitch, Trent & Ella Amos , along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in Lindsay Ontario and raised in Oakwood, Jay was proud to live, work and raise his family in this area. He was an extremely hard worker, his attention to detail and amazing customer service earned him respect from so many in his community. This is something he took great pride in. In June of 2022, Jay and Ali made the decision to move to Bathurst, New Brunswick to live out their dream of living on the east coast.

Jay’s love for his family was always evident in everything he did. He will long be remembered for his goofy sense of humour and his great smile. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
