Peacefully, after a long battle with cancer, Josie passed away on November 12, 2025 at the age of 67. Dear sister to Roxane (Greg) Lappan and Nick (Corrine) Hazen. Loving Aunt Josie to Adrienne and Elise (Randall), Celeste, Cheryl, Eric, Nicholas and Kevin. Predeceased by mother Judith Hazen. Josie will be remembered by many friends and colleagues.
She was a graphic artist at the Windsor Public Library for many years. Throughout her life, Josie was an avid artist, creating numerous paintings, drawings and sculptures. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Windsor and her Master of Fine Arts at Wayne State University. She found the most peace and happiness when spending time with her family and friends and being up north with her dog in the Parry Sound area, especially Killbear Park. She loved nature and the tranquility it offered, often finding solace while kayaking and canoeing.

Memorial visiting Friday November 21, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. followed by service at 2:00 p.m. at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd.
