Born on August 23, 1933, in Zhongshan, China, Ida’s life was marked by warmth and quiet strength and courage. This was exemplified when she moved to Canada in 1973 with her young family despite not knowing the language in order to give them a better place to grow up in. Her smile and deep affection for children left a lasting impression on those around her. She brought joy wherever she went and shared it generously with others.
Ida is lovingly remembered by her husband, Sam; her children, Eric and Joyce; and her grandchildren, Gabriel, Grace, Sabine, Phoebe, Michael, and Evan. Her presence at family gatherings was a source of comfort and happiness that will be deeply missed.
