Celebrating the Journey of John Walker
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Edwin Walker, affectionately known as Jack, a cherished husband, devoted father and proud grandfather and uncle to many.
Born on October 10, 1936 in Hopetown, Quebec, he was the son of Eliza and Earle Walker. Jack is predeceased by his brothers Douglas, Reginald and Linwood.
He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years Margaret. His children Barry (Lee-Ann), Ann (Merri), Ron (Julie), and Bonnie (Jason) along with his grandchildren Curtis (Melissa), Rebecca, Sydney (David), Brett (Maddie), Noah, Sam.
Jack’s journey took him through fishing in Port-Daniel, Quebec, mining in Northern Quebec and finally moving to Collingwood, Ontario. Jack worked at Blue Mountain Pottery & L.O.F. to provide a better life for his family.
Jack passed away peacefully in Collingwood, surrounded by love.
A private family service will be held.
