It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear dad and Poppy, Joseph John Szostak at the age of 94 . Joe passed peacefully surrounded by family on September 14, 2025. He is survived by sons Ted (Christine), David and daughters Mary Louise and Teri. He was loved greatly by his grandchildren, Natasha, Alicia Megan (Travis), Morgan, James, Liam and Nolan and will be forever be missed by the surviving Szostak and Carney relatives. Special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa, Willow Grove for their care and love of dad.
Family and friends will be received at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage, Ave, (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Friday September 19th from 10 a.m. until the time of the service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations in Joe‘s honour to St. Joseph’s Villa would be greatly appreciated.
