MARVIS, Konstantinos Mavris

February 26, 1935 – September 9, 2025

With deep sorrow and hearts, the family of Konstantinos (Gus) Mavris announces his passing on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at West Park Long Term Care Centre in Toronto.

Born in Petrina Greece on February 26, 1935. Konstantinos later immigrated to Canada, where he built a life rooted in dedication, hard work, and love for his family. On August 24, 1963, he married Maria Mavris, and together they raised a family he cherished deeply.

Konstantinos is survived by his four children: Eugenia Kourakos (Louis), Chris Mavris, Paul Mavris, and Sophia Pristine (Agim); his beloved grandchildren: George Kourakos (Tina), Fotini Pantelis (Peter), Ardiana Pristine, and Fatos Pristine (Yana); and his great-grandchildren: Louis Kourakos, Leah Kourakos, and Andreas Pantelis.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory be eternal.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel (2035 Weston Road, Toronto) on September 15, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. A funeral service will be held at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (1 Brookhaven Drive, Toronto) on September 16, 2025 at 10:00am followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery.

Any donations made in Gus’s memory will automatically go towards the Transitional Care Unit.
