Passed away on September 2, 2025. As the last of ten children to pass, Sandra’s life was a testament to faith, love, and dedication.
From an early age, Sandra’s passion for serving others and her unwavering love for Jesus guided her through life’s many chapters. She completed her ministerial training and graduated on January 10, 1988, earning her Ministerial License on May 27, 1990, and then went on to get her license here in Canada. Her ministry work was rich and varied, leaving a lasting impact wherever she went.
Sandra served as a teacher and minister in Hay River, NWT, and dedicated herself to numerous roles, including healthcare aide in hospitals, traveling to remote outposts in the North, and engaging in the Bus Ministry, praising and worshiping as part of the praise team. Her time at Calvary Tabernacle (now New Beginnings Fellowship) in Fort Frances, Ontario saw her involved in women’s ministry, nursing home ministry, outreach ministry and sharing her faith through witnessing door to door.
She was the lead Pastor at Joy of Life Fellowship and a Chaplain at the Fort Frances Jail. She also did various cleaning jobs as well as work for Veerts construction where she made many lasting connections. Sandra’s compassionate spirit shone brightly everywhere she went.
She also traveled to Fiji, Israel, and Haiti as she continued to serve as a missionary.
Sandra’s life was a shining example of her devotion to spreading the gospel, her heart dedicated to uplifting others, and her spirit a light to family, friends, and strangers alike. Her kind words, joyful presence, and genuine love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Kathleen, and her sisters Bernice Izzard, Louise Miller, Sharon Shepard, Dorleen Godbout, Leslie McCoy, and five brothers—James, Bobby, Ronald, Richard, and Douglas.
Sandra is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends who will forever cherish her memory and miss her dearly.
Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched, and her example remains a beacon of hope and love.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Fellowship Church, 1301 Mill Rd in Fort Frances.
