Richard Brock

August 27, 1935 – August 16, 2025

Smiling elderly man in green jacket indoors.

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side. Survived by his adored wife of 67 years, Evelyn Brock (Wakefield), favourite daughter Vicki Rollins (Faron). Predeceased by his favourite son Richard Brock, his mother and father, Robert and Albertine Brock, and his brother Thomas Brock (Colleen). Papa loved, and was so very proud of his grandchildren, Jaclyn Drygas (Hayden), Hilary Cheung (Tony), Nicole Rollins (Austin), and Thomas Rollins. Papa also enjoyed making funny noises while video chatting with his great-grandchildren Freja Drygas and Theo Cheung. A Millwright by trade, Dick worked around the world, taking his family across Canada, several of the America States, Venezuela, Trinidad and Malaysia. It was a good life, and although Dick attributed much of his career to luck, he was justifiably proud of his work. Dick had a passion for boats. Sailboats, motor yachts, a ride in his son-in-law’s fishing boat or a “float” down the St. Clair River in an inner tube; all were a pleasure. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family can join for a celebration of Dick’s life on Monday, September 1st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bluewater Health Palliative Care would be appreciated
