Surrounded by the love of his family, Clarence Styles passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 83.
He was the forever-loved husband and best friend of Doreen Styles (Shouldice) for nearly 55 treasured years. Clarence was a devoted and much-loved father to Angela (Andrew) of Stittsville, ON, Lisa (Eric) of Carp, ON, and Mark (Simone) of Toronto, ON. He took immense pride in being a special Grandpa to Vanessa, Jaxson, Trinity, and Naomi. Predeceased by his dear parents, Eric and Phyllis Styles (McBride), Clarence leaves behind a wide circle of cherished family members and friends.
Clarence Herbert Styles grew up on his family farm—proudly located on Styles Side Road in Kinburn, ON. In 1971, with his beloved bride Doreen by his side, he took over the dairy farming operation. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their children with a deep appreciation for hard work, family, and community.
Clarence was a man of quiet strength, humility, and extraordinary kindness. He lived his life grounded in a steadfast faith in the Lord, drawing from His love and guidance. His warm smile and gentle nature instantly endeared him to everyone he met. His “happy place” was always outside: working in the barn, caring for the land, clearing trees, woodworking, hunting, and tending to his garden. He always had a project on the go, an entertaining story to share, and a sense of humour that brought joy to those around him.
Clarence leaves a rich legacy of love, family, and integrity that will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Queensway Carleton Hospital for the compassionate care given during his short yet courageous battle with pneumonia, as well as to staff and residents of the Rosepark Retirement Community for their wonderful support and friendship.
