AUDAS, Roy Audas

passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Hospice Chapman House on Monday, April 13, 2026. Born in Penketh Lancashire on September 2, 1938, Roy Audas of Owen Sound, was in his 88th year.

Beloved husband and best friend of Gwen Audas (née Turner). Proud father of Donald Audas (Francine), Laurie Mader (Paul), Catherine Brassard (Marc), and Randy Audas (Evelyn). Treasured grandfather of Caitlin, Clancy, Daniel, and Nicole. Cherished great-grandfather of Francis, William, and Oslo. Dear brother of Jean Sicotte. Roy will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lillian (née Redford) Audas.

Roy and Gwen met almost 71 years ago and spent 69 years married. They created and shared a happy life together and did a lot of travelling across the country. Four children, two boys and two girls, live close by and would drop by quite often to see their Dad.

Roy found joy in being a model railroader and spent many hours constructing his beautiful layout in the basement. He was a land surveyor and from that job became a photogrammetrist, turning photos into maps, working for Ontario Hydro, as well as the Ontario government.

Roy will be dearly missed.

In keeping with Roy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
