KEEPING, Peter Keeping

Although born in the UK, he emigrated to Canada with his family in 1957, where he started a horse ranch and farmed some 1500 acres. Having sold up in 1971, he moved around a little before settling in Scarborough, Ontario, in 1980. In 1986, he started gardening.

Peter Keeping was very enthusiastic and is largely responsible for the popularity of Clematis in Canada today.

Beloved husband to Sheila Cule. Loving father to Janet Keeping, Christine Hughes (Keeping), Andrew Keeping, Peter Keeping , Owen Cule, Ian Cule. Adoring grandfather and great grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Always full of life with stories to share of his life. Always laughing no matter the conversation, smiling. Full time gardener, never shying away from hard work .
