LEWIS, Richard “Rick” Lewis

Passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, following a brief illness, at the age of 88.

Rick was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Lewis, with whom he shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage. She was truly the love of his life.

He was a devoted father to Douglas Lewis (Cynthia) and Paul Lewis (Christine), and a proud and loving grandfather to Alexandra, Bradley (Tori), Scott, Sydney, and Riley, and great grandfather to Parker and Austin, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Born in England to Charles and Margaret Lewis, Rick was raised in Toronto and went on to live in Etobicoke, Pottageville, Alliston, and Barrie, building a life centered around family, friendships, and community.

Rick enjoyed a long and successful career in sales, where his personality and dedication left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

He had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and many passions, including golf, hockey, skiing (both snow and water), and travel. During his younger years he was an active member of the Kinsmen. Above all, Rick cherished time at the cottage, spending more than 70 years creating treasured memories at Koshlong Lake in Haliburton—a place that meant so much to him and his family.

Rick will be remembered as a kind, generous, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He valued his many friendships and brought warmth and humour to those around him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 27, 2026, at Thomas Funeral Home in Alliston.
