DESMARCHAIS, Gwendoline “Gwen” Gertrude Desmarchais

Passed away, peacefully surrounded by the love of her sons and family on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Gwendoline “Gwen” Gertrude Desmarchais of Tillsonburg and formerly of Walsingham at the age of 89. Born in Clarenceville, Quebec daughter of the late George McCauliff and the late Thelma (Derick) McCauliff. Predeceased by her much loved husband Jean Jacques Desmarchais (1990). Loved mother of: Dan Desmarchais (Sandra), Glen Meyer; Michel Desmarchais, Hamilton; late Roger Desmarchais (2015); and a son John Paul Desmarchais (Danielle), Tillsonburg. Proud grandma of 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter Bella. Survived by her siblings Therese, Gertrude, Frank and Mike and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Family Graveside Inurnment will take place in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Langton at a later date.
