THOMAS, Evanthia Thomas

October 26, 1950 - May 26, 2026
THOMAS, Evanthia Thomas

She was born on October 26, 1950, in Lefkada, Greece, to her loving parents, Konstantina Skliros-Margiolos and Stathi Skliros-Garthelis. She was raised in a large and loving family, where she learned the importance of hard work, family values, strength, and compassion.

At the age of 21, Evanthia left her hometown of Marantochori, Lefkada, Greece, and immigrated to Canada in search of a better future and greater opportunities for her family. With courage and determination, Evanthia Thomas built a beautiful life rooted in love, sacrifice, and devotion to those she cared for most.

On September 28, 1974, Evanthia married the love of her life, Thomas Thomas. Together they built a strong and loving family and shared many years of commitment, partnership, and cherished memories.

Evanthia was a proud and loving mother to her three children: Chris, Helen, and Tina. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was a devoted grandmother to six beloved grandchildren: Daphne, Eva, Vasili, Thoma, Thomas, and Evan. They brought endless happiness and pride to her life, and she treasured the special bond she shared with each of them.

Evanthia was known for her nurturing spirit and generous heart. Her door on Westwood Avenue was always open to family, friends, neighbours, and anyone in need. She lovingly cared for not only her own children, but often for the children of others as well. No one ever left her home hungry — there was always food on the table, warmth in her home, and kindness in her heart. She made everyone feel welcome, cared for, and loved.

Evanthia will be remembered for her strength, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, compassion, and family devotion that will continue through generations.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered her children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, neighbours, and all whose lives she touched.
