BELLAMY, Frances Bellamy

Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Born in Erin on October 7, 1935, Frances Marina Bellamy (nee Reid) of Owen Sound was in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of the late Milton Bellamy. Loving mother of Ken Bellamy (Jody), Terry Bellamy (Ruth), Cathy Sheeler (Pete), Marilyn Hunt (Ron), Sandra Catcher (Matt), John Bellamy (Marcelle), Donald Bellamy, Paul Bellamy, Leanne Murphy (Jim) and Gary Bellamy (Ann). Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lola Spears (Lorne), and sister-in-law of Evan Bellamy (Muriel). Frances will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Ken and Thelma Reid, by her siblings John Reid (Freida) and Blanche Boiter (Dewie), sister-in-law Elva Brown (Jerry), and by her son-in-law Blaine Gates.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frances will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:30 a.m, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
