VACHERESSE, John Stanley Vacheresse

It is with profound sadness, yet with unwavering faith in God’s promises, that we announce the peaceful passing of John on June 27, 2026, at the age of 64.

John was a devoted husband, loving father, respected leader, mentor, and faithful servant of God. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kindness, generosity, integrity, and unwavering love for his family.

John Stanley Vacheresse was predeceased by his loving mother, Deanna, his father, Simon, and his brother, Robert.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joanne; his sons, Mathew and Tom (Carolyn); and his cherished daughter, Vianca, who were the pride and joy of his life. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, colleagues, former students, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

John enjoyed a distinguished career in information technology, serving in senior leadership roles as Director of Network Infrastructure Design for organizations including LCBO, Couche-Tard, TSX, MTS Allstream, Air Miles, Loblaw, and First Capital REIT. He was known for his expertise, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

Beyond his corporate career, John had a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation. For 28 years, was a part-time professor at Seneca College, where he generously shared his knowledge and practical industry experience.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that John has gone home to be with the Lord. We hold fast to the promise of Scripture: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)
