MUIZELAAR, Rinze Muizelaar

With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life richly lived, the family of Rinze Muizelaar announces his passing on July 14, 2026.

Rinze was the beloved husband of Ann Muizelaar, who passed away on December 19, 2011, and with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Together, they built a home and raised a family centered on faith and love. He was a devoted father to Paul (Sonia), Arnie ( Mary-Ann; (predeceased), Ed (Katrin), George (Marilyn), and Richard (Liz), and a proud Opa to 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

A man of deep Christian faith, Rinze lived by the values of integrity and humility. His faith sustained him throughout life’s challenges and blessings and served as an enduring example to all who knew him.

He leaves behind a family legacy of love, faith, perseverance, and devotion. Though greatly missed, he will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to call him husband, father, Opa, brother, uncle, and friend.

Visitation will be held at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church, 130 Scugog Street, Bowmanville, on Monday, July 20, from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow at the same location at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Rinze’s memory.
