WILSON, Darlene Ruth Wilson

The family of Darlene Wilson announce her passing on July 23, 2026, one day before her 89th birthday. We are grateful for a life filled with love, family, friendship, and countless cherished memories.

Darlene Ruth Wilson was the beloved wife of the late Don Wilson. Dearly loved Mom of Shelley (Rick), Karen and Cynthia (Alex). Cherished grandma of Michelle (Fraser), Rachel (Patrick), Paul (Alecia), Evan (Maggie), Aaron and Alli.  Loved great grandma of Ryker, Ryley, Hudson and Sebastian. Loved sister of Anne and predeceased by brothers Jim, John, Bill and sister Margaret. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mom was blessed with long term friendships that enriched her life beyond measure. The family is grateful for her forever friendship with the late Colleen Kinsman (Norm) and the loving companionship of the late Gary Shaw. Mom was a long-time employee of CHML radio.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. A private interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery.
