PARKER, Irene Christina Parker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene Parker on Friday July 31st, 2026 at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in her 99th year. Irene Christina Parker was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Parker. Cherished mother to Gary (Anne), Lynda (Hank) Coyle, Dennis (Randi) and Marlene (Donnie) Davidson. Loving Grandma to Stephen, Darren, Karen, Derek, Tanya, Tasha, Ryan, Stacy, Parker and Ashley and great-grandmother to 22. Great-great-grandmother to 1. Predeceased by her sister Evelyn McVety. Irene will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and her community at Legion Village.
In keeping with Irene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a period of visitation at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. on Friday August 14th, 2026 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am with a reception to follow.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors who took care of Irene in the Palliative Unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital and also the staff at Legion Village.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Roseneath United Church, the Palliative Care Unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
