LUDINGTON, Gary David Ludington

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Ludington who passed away in hospital on July 25, 2026.

Gary David Ludington was a devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his wife Aileen Easton, his daughter Jordan (Jim), granddaughter Zoë , son Kirk , step-daughter Amy, grandsons Lucas, Nathan and Adrian and his brother John.

He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Vivian Ludington, niece and nephew Pam and David Ludington and many cousins.

Gary is predeceased by his parents Kirk and Jean (Cairns)Ludington and his brother Jim.

Gary lived and worked most of his life in Ottawa but also spent time working in New Brunswick and Newfoundland. He returned to Ottawa in 1975 and spent the remainder of his working life at Revenue Canada.

Although Gary’s life revolved primarily around his home and family he was committed to his community. Gary served on the board of Dovercourt Recreation Centre, the Environmental committee and Parks and Recreation committee for the city of Ottawa. His main focus was however his involvement with his community through the Westboro Community Association. It was always his desire to make whatever community he was part of a better place.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Tubman Funeral Homes Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road (Richmond and Roosevelt) on Saturday August 15th from 2:00 to 4:00.
