ALGUIRE, Kent Alguire

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kent Dalton Alguire at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday, August 6th, 2026 at the age of 70 years.

Beloved husband of the late Lynne Alguire (nee Lalonde). Loving father of Lyanne Alguire (Nick) and Amy Dunning (Travis). Cherished grandfather of Emmett Alguire, Cohen Dunning, Jordyn Kaddie and Harper Dunning. Dear brother of Gwilda Rheault (late Gil), Rex Alguire (Anne) and Trudy Riviere. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; Basil and Joan Alguire (nee Laplante).

Kent was the heart of his family, and nothing brought him greater joy than being surrounded by those he loved. Family was always his highest priority, and he cherished every opportunity to gather around the table, share a meal or simply enjoy each other’s company. He was a steady source of love, strength, and support, creating a home filled with laughter, kindness, and lasting memories.

Kent’s family will welcome loved ones and friends at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Following the burial, family and friends are warmly invited to gather at Kent’s home to share a meal, memories, and fellowship as they celebrate Kent’s life together. All who knew and loved Kent are welcome.
