Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on August 8, 2025. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Janie, daughters Darlene (Pat) Johnston, Denise and Edgarfue “Gifa” (Dave) Felicite. Dixie was a proud grandpa to Matthew (Vanessa), Becky, Frederick (Charlyn) and Lucciano. Great grandpa to Jayden, Addison, Caven and Jahani. Many other relatives, friends and neighbours will remember Jim fondly.
After retiring from his work at the Toronto Stock Exchange, Jim enjoyed spending time during the winter in the sunny warmth of St. Lucia with his sweetheart. He enjoyed a game of golf or pool, creating in his wood shop and tinkering with his ’56 Ford.
Jim was predeceased by his son Derek, his parents Audrey and Julian Duggan and his siblings Ken and Maureen.
We appreciate the excellent, compassionate care Jim and his family received in his final days at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital.
Visitation will be held at the Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee on Wednesday, August 13 from 1-2 pm, with a service from 2-3 pm and a reception to follow. For friends unable to attend, please join us via Zoom, a link for live streaming will be available below under service notes.
