Jozef Biec passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, after his family was able to say their final goodbyes. Beloved husband of Halina Biec. Loving father of Danuta Kosior and father-in-law Dariusz Kosior. Cherished grandfather to Edyta Durand (Pascal) and Peter Kosior (Vita), and proud great-grandfather of Olivia and Louise Durand, and Teodor Kosior.
Jozef was proud of his Polish heritage. He immigrated to Canada in 1981 with his daughter Danuta and brought joy to many family gatherings with his accordion skills and beautiful song.
Trained as an automotive mechanic, he held various managerial roles in Poland. He loved fishing, held a gun license, and was a member of a local hunting club. Jozef returned to Poland yearly and continued to travel into his late 80s, including a trip to Australia. He was a devoted family man whose legacy will live on for generations.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Holy Trinity Polish Church at 12 noon, preceded by a Rosary Prayer at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
