Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, August 1, 2025, in her 97th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Gerald A. Schmidt. Loving mother of Lonny (Carolyn), Barry (Linda), Delene, Darren (Carole), and Robert (Sandra). Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Dina, Mindy, Hayley, Benton, Alana, Julia, Katie, Stan (Tina), Stacey and great grandmother of Austin, Mason, Charlie, Chase and Bellamy. Jo will be missed by her many siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jo was a dedicated fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and loved playing cards. She was fiercely competitive and almost unbeatable in cribbage.
As per Jo’s wished there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
