Bert Schilthuis went peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, in his 100th year, on Thursday July 24th, 2025 at Highgate Residence. Predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Thea (nee Land) in 1993. Loving father of Henry (Daniella) Schilthuis, Charlie (Annette) Schilthuis and Alice (nee Schilthuis) and Roy Weemhoff. Bert was Opa to 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff at Highgate who provided dad with exceptional love and care.
Family and friends may visit with the family on Monday July 28th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Immanuel CRC, 61 Mohawk Road West in Hamilton where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 29th at 11:00 am. A private family interment at White Chapel Cemetery will precede the funeral service.
The family would appreciate, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mission Services Hamilton.
