At the end of her lengthy journey through Alzheimer’s disease, Noreen passed peacefully in the care of the dedicated staff at the Trillium Manor in Orillia on Tuesday.
Noreen was a beloved mother to her cherished son Steven, and his wife Katherine.
Noreen was predeceased by her husband Norman in 2013. He shared with her a love of all things associated with steam trains, dancing, and travel.
Her brothers, sisters, and extended family always held a special place in her heart. Noreen valued the friendship of many in her 91 years and always enjoyed having “a bit of fun”.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and share memories at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, from 1–4 pm. Interment will take place at the Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County would be gratefully appreciated.
