It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom (Thomas) on June 2nd.

Tom was a cherished son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tom is survived by his beloved daughter, Andrea, and Andrea’s mother, Estelle Lavallée. He was predeceased by his father, George Waselnuk, and his mother, Marie (Gallant) Waselnuk.

He is also survived by his brothers, Nick (Debbie), Gord, John, and Danny, and his nephews, Terry, Joey, Adam, and Brandon. He was predeceased by his nephew, Eric.

Tom’s memory will live on in the hearts of his devoted and adoring daughter, family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his enduring love for his daughter and family, and for the moments shared with those closest to him.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the Emergency Department, Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) Unit, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Palliative Care Unit at Queensway Carleton Hospital for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Tom’s final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 2:00 PM at Tom’s residence. Friends and family are invited to contact Andrea for the address and further information.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to a cancer-related organization in Tom’s memory.

Forever loved, forever remembered.
