Booy, Marie (deKraker) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the age of 90. Born in Zeeland, Holland on August 15, 1934, daughter of the late Abraham and Maria deKraker. Beloved wife of Marinus Booy for 69 years. Loving mother to Pat & Paul Heath, Ron (2017), Henry (1971), Len & Nancy, Murray & Sherry, Nancy and Marcia (1983).
Grandma to Chris & Chelsey, Darcy & Laura, Brad & Jenn, Kyle & Danielle, Chad & Stephanie, Paige & Carl and Matthew & Mackenzie. Great-grandma to Luke, Cameron, James and Norah. Also a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Cherished sister of Betsie Dieleman (late Andy), Eva Wiebenga (late Sam), and Marlene VanHam (Bill). Predeceased by her brothers John (Anne), Case (Tilly), Bob (Ann) and sister Corrie Hulst (Bob).
Mary’s faith and trust in God was a constant source of strength. She poured herself into the lives of those around her—always ready with a listening ear, a helping hand, or a warm meal. She welcomed people into her home with open arms, hosting countless gatherings, both big and small, where everyone felt like family.
Visitation will be held at the HA Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday from 4–6:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00 am. A private family graveside will be held at the Aylmer Cemetery prior to the funeral service.
