Born April 1, 1928, in Finch, Ontario, Eunice passed away at the Brantford General Hospital palliative care unit on July 5, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Wallace Carruthers (2012), and the loving mother to Ron of Brantford, Sharon (Ted) of Brantford, and David (Kathryn) of Douro-Dummer. Eunice was a cherished grandmother to Patricia, Jonathan (Carrie), Keri, Christopher (Chris), and Brendon (Wendy), and a great-grandmother to Jenifer, Alexandra, Brooklyn, and Eddie.
Eunice was predeceased by her parents Hugh John MacMillan and Nellie Kinnear, and by her siblings Edith, Aden, Edna, Muriel, Bernard, Basil, and Annie.
Eunice and Wallace were long-time residents of Chesterville, Ontario, and also long-time summer residents at their cottage on Bob’s Lake. Along with her love of family, Eunice had a special affection for gospel music, jewelry, and dancing.
Interment will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville, Ontario.
