Sherry passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Hospice Waterloo Region at the age of 78 years. Survived by her husband Werner (Vern) Heine, daughter Andrea Heine, and three siblings.
Sherry was a people person, always ready to help her family and friends, and putting others ahead of herself. Her passion was community theatre, starting in Hanover and most recently with the Elmira Theatre Company.
The family wants to thank the wonderful caregivers at Hospice Waterloo Region for the love and compassion shown to Sherry in her final days.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Waterloo Region or Cats Anonymous Rescue and Adoption – East Garafraxa would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. For donations, please visit their website or contact the funeral home at 519-669-2207.
