It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Robert Anderson, who passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Anderson. Cherished father to Kimberly Anderson (Jason) and Pam Kenny (Kelvin). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Caroline, Katey, Ruby, Harrison, and Halle.
Dear brother to Nancy Lamain (Jack) and lovingly remembered by their families. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Viola and John O. Anderson, and his brother, Lawrence Anderson.
Michael met his soulmate Kathy while both worked at Loyola Campus of Concordia University. He pursued his Bachelor of Commerce during evenings while working full-time, with Kathy’s support. Their journey together reflected mutual respect, hard work, and devotion.
A man of quiet strength and deep love for nature, Michael found joy in simplicity—especially in moments spent at the cottage in Dunany, QC. His self-taught talents, appreciation for wildlife, and devotion to creating a backyard sanctuary for birds revealed a soul rooted in peace and humility.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, a private graveside service and gathering will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025.
