Max Cedric Farrelly passed away with family by his side on June 7, 2025, around 9 p.m. at Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Unit. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor Farrelly (née Keetch).
Max will be greatly missed by his children Cathy Splane (Tim), Kim Baumann (Leo), and Eric Farrelly (Joelinda), and by his grandchildren Brittany, Lindsay (Tyler), Shelby, Courtney (Shannon), Jenny, and Christopher. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Astin, Addison, Adlee, and Miles Allan.
An intelligent man with a love for music and painting, Max was a chemical analyst at Parke Davis in Brockville for 40 years following graduation from the University of Guelph. He served in chemical warfare during the Korean War and was a long-time active member of 1st Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Visitation will be held at Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 10 Church Street, Brockville.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Max’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, or BDHF Palliative Care.
