After a life filled with love, laughter, and an endless capacity to care for others, Barbara Ann Pineau passed peacefully on June 2nd, 2025, under the compassionate care of McCulloch Hospice, surrounded by the family she cherished most. Barbara was a devoted wife for 53 years to her best friend and husband, David Joseph Pineau, who continues to carry her love and memory forward. Together, they walked through every high and low with love, humor, and a shared deck of cards (which she usually won).
Barbara was a devoted mother to her beloved daughters, Stacey and Crystal, both of whom brought her great joy—and two very handsome sons-in-law, Shawn and Corey (Barb’s words). Through them, Barbara was blessed with her greatest treasures: her four grandchildren, Liam, Lylia, Cash, and Charley. Each grandchild brought their own unique sparkle to her life.
Barbara’s faith was at the heart of everything she did. She was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s League. Barbara’s service to others, her love for God, and her dedication to her church community were a testament to her spiritual devotion.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on August 2nd, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following, a celebration of her life will take place at the Caruso Club, 385 Haig Street. This gathering will be filled with laughter, stories, and second helpings—just the way she wanted it.
