The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Carole Villeneuve (née Doiron). Cherished father of Louise Villeneuve (Randy Provost), Denise Inglis (Stuart), and step-father of Daniel Beauchamp. Dear grandfather of Yves, Parker, and Margaret.
Brother of Connie (Sylvio) and Therese. Benoit will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by his parents Phil and Jeanne (née Côté) Villeneuve and his brother Phil.
Ben worked for 35 years at Ontario Northland as a Terminal Manager. He looked forward to retirement to enjoy what he loved most: the cottage, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He especially enjoyed his early morning walks and coffee at Tim Hortons.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m.
