Patrick Anthony Lebel

October 8, 1952 – June 1, 2025

With overwhelming sadness and disbelief, we announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father, and grampa, Patrick Anthony Lebel, at the age of 72, on June 1, 2025. Though we knew his time was coming, it arrived much sooner than we had hoped. Over the past year, he bravely fought a private battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia ‘Patti’ Lebel, and his children: Rick, Tricia (Tim Inkster), Matt, and Chris. He will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Mary Jean ‘MJ’, Benedict ‘Benny’, and Miona ‘Mio’. He also leaves behind siblings Mike (Karen Fields) and Rose (Dennis Mayhew), nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Fern and Mary Lebel and baby sister Debbie.

Born in Thessalon and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Patrick was a dedicated family man and a spirited traveler. He was known for his dry wit, generosity, and frugality—always seeking a deal and taking full advantage of senior discounts. Whether coaching local sports, fixing cars, or simply being there for his family, he made an enduring impact on those around him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St, Sault Ste. Marie). A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel with Father Peter Nwachukwu officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please spend time with loved ones, listen to Bruce Springsteen, and consider donating to the Salvation Army or St. Vincent’s in his honour.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
