With heavy hearts and faith in God’s eternal promises, we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) Joseph Russell on May 2, 2025, at the age of 95.
Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Wilhelmina “Billie” Russell, and his loving parents, Henry and Beatrice Russell.
A devoted father to his son John (Erica) Russell, and a proud grandfather to Will, Kenneth also shared over 15 wonderful years with his cherished companion Anice Legallais,
warmly embraced by her family as well.
He was predeceased by his sisters Jean Kennedy, Florence (Claire) Leitch, Viola “Vi” (Jim) Vallance, Ruby (John) Redshaw, and Margaret (Tom) Barton,
and is lovingly remembered by his surviving sister Mildred “Millie” McCulloch.
Kenneth lived a life rooted in family, faith, and kindness. He was slow to complain and quick to laugh.
His spirit, and deep love for his family and friends, will be forever cherished.
A time of visitation and remembrance will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Kenneth’s memory are appreciated.
